Lille deservedly beat PSG at the Parc des Princes on Saturday to stay three points clear of the former Ligue 1 champions. With seven matches to go, could Lille win the trophy this time to put an end to the dominance of Parisians?

The match was a lead decider between the top two teams who shared equal points prematch until Lille proved to be worthy of the number one spot.

Keylor Navas was helpless when the ball from Jonathan Ikone reaches the Canadian striker Jonathan David who fires in a deflected shot from the edge of the box changing the scoreline in favor of Lille.

Paris Saint-Germain has won seven of the last eight Ligue 1 titles, they only finished second behind Monaco in 2017 and this season looked very good for Mauricio Pochettino to win his first title as a manager.

The home team played a game of possession without purpose having three shots on goal after sixteen attempts contrary to Lille who created fewer chances but were more clinical in front of goal.

Pochettino told PSG TV he knew it's going to be difficult,
"We knew and prepared for a  tough encounter, until the end and of course we need to keep going and think of other competitions. Champions League is coming up against Bayern and we've got to focus on that."

"I think we deserved at least a shared point or even three. In the end, we lost and of course, we're very disappointed with the outcome. We didn't create enough, Although we created more than them but not enough, and maybe we showed a lack of aggression in the second half. Our dominance is not channeled towards scoring but in the end, time ran out and we lost the game."Pochettino said.
