It was delightful to watch Athletico Madrid and Barcelona play their opponents on Saturday. The Los Indios couldn’t stop winning, adding to their streak, a 1-2 win at Granada

The first half ended goalless – Granada’s German Sanchez was the first to make an attempt towards goal with a header that goes just wide of the left post.

A couple of positive attempt was made by Luis Suarez but to no avail. The former Barcelona Star was unlucky when his shot crashes against the cross bar in the last minute of the first half.

Marcos Llorente opened the score line after collecting a brilliant pass from Koke and strike precisely into the right corner of the post in the 64th minute.

In Response to that, Yangel Herrera scored his 3rd goal for Granada by striking a deflected shot that goes past the stranded Athletico Goalie.

Athletico again took over the lead in the 74th minute when a shot fired by Angel Correa was deflected into the net. Rui Silva was helpless.

Athletico bagged 3 points at Granada, keeping them 7 points clear of Barcelona and Real Madrid with one game in hand.

Later that evening Lionel Messi for Barcelona took advantage of the goal drought Suarez had at Granada closing up his former teammate by  2 goal in the  5-1 trashing of Alaves at the Camp Nou.

Messi and Barcelona still remain second to Suarez and Athletico Madrid so far in La Liga.
